Hank Angus There is no hesitation on this question in that I would go to the magical world of Harry Potter. The reason may surprise you though. I would want to meet the characters themselves because they are so compellingly human. Jo Rowling went out of her way to make each character flawed in some startling ways. Ron was insecure and jealous of Harry. Dumbeldore spyght power to his detriment. Even Harry fought accepting who he was and what it meant to honor the responsibility of that. In the end Snape who came across as the most flawed of them all was a hero beyond compare.
Hank Angus Good question. There are so many that come to mind. However, the question that always nags me is why do we suffer? My mom once told me that she thought we lived our hell on earth. At first, I thought it was such a negative comment. As I have gotten older, I see the wisdom in her words. Imagine actually finding out what the answer to that question? What a great read this would be!
Hank Angus I just stop for awhile. Sometimes it is a short period of time. Others it may be for months. It also helps to discuss the plot line with others. Your conversation may spark an idea that you really love. A part of the conclusion in my book "The Magic Pouch," was my son's idea. It was brilliant!
Hank Angus I love bringing fictional characters to life and giving them a pulse and personality all their own. It is especially fun when the readers get the same joy out of meeting these characters as I did in creating them.
Hank Angus Just do it! Even if you only sell one book, you will grow as a person in the process!
Hank Angus I have not started the outline yet for my next book, but it will be the second part of a trilogy. I know the title and parts of the plot line, but I like keeping secrets.
Hank Angus I have always wanted to write a novel since I was a child. When my son became ill with Leukemia at age 4 and then my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer I had all the incentive I needed. My tale is for anyone who has ever been diagnosed or had had a loved one who has faced this evil we call Cancer!
Hank Angus The answer to this question is quite simple. My wife and I started a charity ten years ago to help children with cancer in our area. To date we have raised over 650,000 dollars for those children. My book is a fantasy tale that mirrors the reality of our charity event which is a 135 relay run in the dead of winter.
