The book I am currently working on came to me in a dream. It evolved, and grew, and stuck in my mind like a tenacious worm. Burrowing into my daily thoughts, clouding my mind, flashing visions in front of my eyes like a mirage in the desert.
Pretty much my standard writing process really... ;-)

Someone has to be "inspired" to write? What else would the rather be doing?????
I guess I don't understand the question... lol

Currently I'm working on two projects.
One is complete but being rewritten and edited and will hopefully be ready to release in the next month or so. It is a dark, violent look at an issue that plagues society and really has since the beginning of time.
The second book I am currently working on is in it's infancy. I'd love to tell you about it, but as I write organically it may change significantly before it is done. In other words, I know the plan for it at the moment, but if the universe speaks to me and tells me I'm off track, it may be a different book next week. (That's a nice way of saying, the little gnome in my mind likes to play tricks on me during my rewriting sessions.)

I've wanted to write my entire life, but let things like a need for an income to get in the way. (Let's face it, writing doesn't pay terribly well in most cases)
If I had one piece of advice for an aspiring writer, it would be to not put it off. Don't let anything get in the way of your true desire to write. At the end of your life, you don't want to look back and say "I just wish I would have..."

Without a doubt the best thing is the cathartic nature of storytelling. It frees up all off the thoughts and dreams roaming around in my head and brings them to life on my computer screen. Which, of course, causes an empty space in my brain that is quickly filled with more thoughts and dreams.
It's really an unhealthy circle really.....
Maybe I should change my response... Yeah... the best thing about writing is that it gives me an reason to drink coffee all day long and sit around looking like I'm thinking deep thoughts. :-)

Happily, I don't have to deal with writer's block often, but when I do I find taking a long hot shower, and allowing my mind to wander, tends to put me back on track.
Failing that, I assume that the track I'm on is invalid and delete the whole dang thing and start over... ;-)
