Mark Stretch Favourite (English spelling) fictional couple? There's a teaser... Batman & Robin maybe (I'm old enough to remember the '60's series)? Or Winnie the Pooh and piglet? Actually, I'm going to go for Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt as Melvin and Carol in 'As Good As It Gets'. His neurotic and dysfunctional personality coupled with her practical and humble character made for compulsive viewing. Will they or won't they get together? If they do, will it last? Magical writing and acting make this a must-see film. "I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth" "Some of us have great stories, pretty stories that take place at lakes with boats and friends and noodle salad." Delicious!

Mark Stretch In the words of Nike .. just do it. I'm a firm believer that writing is something we can all do - we just need to exercise and train the writing muscles.
Mark Stretch I'm working on two ideas at the moment. One is about gangsters and the other is about a group of middle-aged people facing up to the fact that their old age is likely to be miserable and how they go about doing something about it.
Mark Stretch Before this, I had not written anything creative since I was at school. My wife Sara is the real writer in our house and I just wanted to see if I could write something too ..
Mark Stretch The Laundrymen came about after a chance meeting with someone who was actually in charge of security for one of the major banks. She seemed quite young to have such an important job .. and my imagination kicked in!

The idea of using an antiques business as a mechanism for laundering the money came from the fact that my parents were antique dealers for a while and I had to do my bit during the school holidays, so I learnt a bit about the business.
