I always keep a running list. Next up are Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradberry, Sphere by Michael Crichton, and American War by Omar El Akkad.

I grew up in New York State. If you insult each other and have a nickname that is racial or demeaning, you're best friends. That's just how it is. It's funny that way. It's a sign of endearment. I can tell you stories about the racial slurs me and my dearest African-American friends would call each other. Vin and Douglas are just two normal New York buddies. In future books, you will get to see the ever changing dynamic of their friendship.

Yes. A while back I had a job at a machine shop, about twenty years ago actually. I worked with a kid who acted just like that. I forgot his name over the years. A lot of my characters echo people I know. Certain things I change for the story. Thanks for reading.

Andy DuFresne and Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding from "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption." I believe the story is about Andy helping Red see that against all odds, no one can take away your hope. It's a deep friendship of two people from very different backgrounds. Friendship and hope.

I guess watching your story come to life. The best stories came out of someones brain somewhere. I love that. Watching something come to life from inside my head, the creativity of it all, the characters to fall in love with.

My advice, don't let people crush you with bad reviews. Do it for yourself. You will have a certain group of readers that will read your stuff regardless so do it for them too.

I'm working on a crime drama, thriller, about a detective who tracks down a rapist but the case goes cold on him. Chilling stuff, I cant wait for it to be finished.

There was a kid in grade school that used to write short episodes about a group of kids searching a mysterious figure and I loved to read them when he was done. It was like our own drama show. He had one every few days that he let the whole class read. So I started my own. That's where my inspiration started.

It started as a therapy thing, to help me feel better about missing my grandfather. He was my best friend. I had the idea sprawled on a few sheets of paper in my desk drawer, so I started elaborating and I felt better. Next thing I knew, I had a full manuscript.
