I have to go with Lizzy Bennet and Mr. Darcy. They face genuine obstacles to their relationship and are rewarded with the ultimate happy ending.

Hi Tracey! Thanks for the question, and congratulations on your memoir!
I haven't done a lot of work to garner reviews on Goodreads, so I'm probably not the best person to answer your question, unfortunately. It's difficult to walk the line between genuine interaction and self-promotion, and I tend to try to avoid too much of the latter on GR. Readers seem more sensitive to it here than they do on, say, Twitter.
I have heard of a product Goodreads Guru (http://www.goodreadsguru.com -- I am not in any way affiliated with this product, I've just been recommended it by other authors before), that may have some information on getting more deeply involved. The page is a bit salesly-looking, but I've been told there is actually a lot of good information there.
Remember that you've already done the hardest part, which is write the book. Best of luck!

I'm not sure "inspired" is the right word. I write when I have a fully fleshed out idea ready. I know it when I feel it. If I write when the idea is still cooking, it often comes out half-baked, and I end up having to rewrite a great deal.

My most recent book was "Vampire's Betrayal," which took place in Vegas. I got a lot of the material from books about Vegas and also from visiting the city.

I'm currently outlining Book 3 in the Secrets of the Ancients series, and I'm also working on a side project involving shapeshifters.

The best thing about being a writer is receiving feedback from fans! I love hearing that someone enjoyed a book.

I read and I go running. Eventually I'll come up with the way forward.
