My book "The MAO Syndrome" is a collection of newspaper/online columns I wrote regarding all the people who oppose President Obama, and the issues surrounding why they refuse to cooperate with him. As you would correctly guess most of it has to do with his race, in the case of many blacks who don't like him, it's more along a mix of jealousy, being gullible, and just not understanding his job or the difference between politician and activist.
One day while listening to the radio or watching TV about how another congressman or senator wanted to block another one of Obama's bills, I asked myself just how many among the dozens of political columns I write have to do with people who simply don't like Obama. This is not a book claiming he is perfect, nor is it a book pushing counter bias and delusion in his favor. This is just solid analysis along with a history of both his presidential campaigns and his first term, along with much commentary and research about the candidates who ran against him. Reading this book will help you understand Hillary, Trump and this year's campaign.
The very title is a play on words, and it's forwarded by a real American, African American hero whom I plan on having come to Buffalo soon; Mr. Abraham Bolden, the first black secret service agent. Appointed by then-President John F. Kennedy himself.
I am a local political columnist born and raised in downtown Buffalo. My journalism began in my latter days in Rochester Where I lived for over 7 years. My op-eds (opinion editorial opinion) columns ran in Rochester's two major papers (Democrat & Chronicle, Times Union), and their black newspaper (Frederick Douglass Voice) for several years even after I moved back to Buffalo. I did about a year as a reporter for the Challenger before I transferred to the Criterion as a columnist for 7 and a half years. After which I returned to the Challenger for about 2 or 3 more years. During this time my column-known mostly as "Pointblank" was carried by black newspapers and alternative websites across the country.
I also became a regular columnist for blackcommentator.com in 2010 after being a guest columnist for them starting in '05. I started the Buffalo Bullet in late 2008. It's a political opinion online journal that will become a daily newspaper soon. I am the primary admin, and there is one other admin, and the bullet Facebook page has several admin.
