I think all my book ideas go on a long rambling bunny rabbit chase or should I say tumble? I tell the story first to my children and when I am finished, we are all like "Yeah, great story mom!" I then give myself a pat on the back. But once I begin to write it, suddenly new ideas jump out onto the path and the old ideas crash into the new ones fighting for their stay in the neighborhood. As a result, I try to let them all stay and the story stretches from 1 book to 3 books... New ideas continue to come along, but by now, you must kill them and stay focused. It's a process.
