I read every Dick Francis book I could get my hands on. Then, there were no more. I've been a racing enthusiast for many years and spent much time at Santa Anita during my college years. That, combined with my love of dressage and eventing, combined with my studies in screenwriting at Art Center College of Design, I decided to give it a try and use a female protagonist (something he hadn't done).
