Sometimes I'm having a stubborn day and don't feel like sitting at my desk. Then, all I have to do is step away and do some gross and grueling housework and then I'm really happy to get back to writing. The things my kids do to those poor bathrooms make porcelain cry! Other times it turns out to be a problem with my plot/outline and then I have to talk it out because that's not something you can ignore. Once the bump is resolved it typically starts flowing again.

The book concept I'm working on right now came from a dream. (Yes my dreams are that weird and that steamy haha) Thank goodness for Evernote, which allows me to crawl over to my phone or my computer, type in my dream, and go back to bed as soon as possible. Although sometimes I can't help myself and once my brain turns on there is no more sleep for me because I just have to get my new characters onto the written page.
