What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Bill McCormick I'm re-reading Isaac Asimov's Secular History of the Bible as I'm going to be teaching a class on it at our church.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Bill McCormick The planet Garth (Uplift Wars - David Brin), so I could drink beer with Fiben and share music from our favorite drummers.

Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?
Bill McCormick Lilly peered through the drapes at the darkling skies, reveling in their tranquility. The feeling of bliss was only overshadowed by the feeling of terror as she felt a bony finger trace her spine.

What's your favourite character type, and why?
Bill McCormick I like the broken ones, the hurt and the damned.

You are about to be banished to a desert island for a year and you can take the books of one author, the music of one artist or band, and one type of food with you. What would your choices be?
Bill McCormick Anne McCaffrey, so I could enjoy the escape into fantasy, the Sisters of Mercy, so my deep voice could sing along, and spicy Thai food. If someone could toss in enough vodka to get me through I might not come back.

Where do you come up with your ideas for your series?
Bill McCormick The same place I come up with the ideas for everything I write; real life. It's odd enough that all I have to do is tweak it a bit and, WHAMMO, I'm playing with nightmares.

Bill McCormick How can two people with really broken pieces can fit so well together?

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Bill McCormick Vodka. If that doesn't help. I step away and write something, anything, else, just to clear my tiny brain.

Bill McCormick Write every day. Every night. Write during sex. Just keep writing. And when you're done writing something, edit the snot out of it.

Bill McCormick Two graphic novels and the sequels to The Brittle Riders' trilogy.

Bill McCormick One of two ways; people pay me to write something for them or I wake up from an odd dream and need to make it whole.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Bill McCormick Watching farm animals while touring with bands. After a while you wonder why they don't rise up ad kill us all.
