A coffee cup! Sorry, that may not have been clear. I guess it was pretty dark in there! I have ideas for Monkey Business 2 and hopefully I'll get to it before too long. I just launched my new book which is completely different but if you're interested, you can check it out here:

(view spoiler)[When researching in preparation for writing this novel (which I'm sure you did, being an author of pure, unshakable integrity) how many splinters did you get when launching yourself out of a home-made bamboo-barreled cannon? (hide spoiler)]

Eric, great question. My home made fish cannon remains, sadly, unfinished in the backyard. I was too lazy to finish it. I am also to lazy to take out the garbage so we know use it as a landfill.
The backyard smells great!
I did extensively research the hallucinogenic tripping portion of the book however. Like, extensively dude.

I'm about to launch my next project which will be another fiction novel about a paramedic and his partner. I work as a paramedic and wanted to write something in the world of emergency medicine. It is a comedy primarily but has a lot more serious moments than Monkey Business.

I don't know, I am an aspiring writer. For now I'm just trying to write things that I enjoy writing and I hope that translates into people enjoying reading. I figure if I'm not having fun, you won't have fun either.

For me it's making other people laugh. I enjoy storytelling in general but I want the laugh, that's my payoff.

If I get writers block its usually because I'm at a part of a story that I know has to happen but isn't particularly fun to write. If the block gets too bad I just stop and try to think of any way to make it fun for me to write, which usually involves putting in something unexpected and insane, that usually gets me going again.
