Eileen Rose Giadone Sylivia! I'm sorry I'm so long in answering this question. I'm new to "author side" of Goodreads and I didn't know this question was here. Ha ha!

To answer your question, I was very motivated to finish the Habit Fix because I really believe in everything I put in that book. It truly is taken from my own experience. And while I'm always working toward a happier, healthier life, building my confidence and taking chances, I've actually come a long way. So, I was very inspired to share and, hopefully, help someone the way a lot of the people in the book helped me. In fact, writing the book itself was a natural progression inspired by what is IN the book. I've always wanted to share my writing and now I'm finally brave enough to do it.

I write a lot of fiction too. I'm working on a novel and or this one, it's taking some discipline to "stick it out". I'm interested in the story I'm telling. There's a lot of fun to be had in writing it. But novels are a LOT of craft and planning. So, I have to force myself, sometimes, to dig in and get it done. It's my first and I want it to be great. Of course, everyone says that's not going to happen - that nobody has a "great' first novel. But I'm going to try my hardest to prove them wrong.

Thank you for your interest in my book and in me. Again, I'm sorry I took so long to discover your question. I'm still learning!
Eileen Rose Giadone Oh, mostly get crabby and whine a lot. Then I sit my ass down and write - anything, just anything until the flow starts. It also helps to watch an Udemy lecture or Ted Talk, maybe read a little from great books - Stephen King's "On Writing" is a GREAT to get you in the flow. Meditation and long walk also do wonders.
Eileen Rose Giadone NOT HAVING A BOSS. And also, that feeling when someone really connects with what you've written. It's always a thrill and a privilege.
Eileen Rose Giadone My advice for aspiring writers is to follow your own rules and be brave. However, you can't succeed if you aren't in it for the long haul. So be sure about what you want and make up your mind that no matter how rocky the road gets, you're on it until the end.
Eileen Rose Giadone I am currently working on a follow-up to The Habit Fix, a children's picture book called Natasha The Party Crasher, a kids joke book and a serious, dark, suspense/mystery novel set in New York City.
Eileen Rose Giadone I'm usually most inspired to write after reading other authors. Taking on line classes helps me feel motivated. I love sitting down with a glass of wine, fire in the fireplace and just letting my thoughts flow on paper. Of course, they don't always "flow" but I love it when they do!
Eileen Rose Giadone I wrote this book because when I went looking for help, I couldn’t find one quite like it. I wanted an outline that showed which areas of my busy life to focus on, and advice on how to best approach each area. I got the idea to write it when I suddenly realized that I was, finally, pretty damned happy.
