Candace Andrews Wow! That is a good but difficult question. Right of the top of my head, it would have to be Jane Eyre and Rochester. I love it how they each need to go through their separate trials and tribulations before they are exactly right for each other. How about you? Who is your favorite fictional couple and why?
Candace Andrews When I have writer's block, I simply put my writing aside and attend to it later. I may go for a walk or do something entirely different for a while, like listening to music or watching a film. Sometimes just "sleeping on it" does the trick. For example, I originally had a different title for my book, but I woke up in the middle of the night with a better title—the title it has now.
Candace Andrews The best thing about being a writer is that you can set your own schedule, and there is only yourself to answer to. You can write as often as your like or as little as you like; you can write every day or every week and there is no one looking over your shoulder.
Candace Andrews My advice is to write from your heart and to write, first of all, for yourself. Things that have to be changed for your audience can be changed in the editing phase of your book.
Candace Andrews I am currently working on a very different kind of book, a young adult fantasy.
Candace Andrews I love to write, so I needed no particular inspiration.
Candace Andrews My book arose out of my own personal experience, so I didn't have to look far for that. I had been thinking about this book for many years, and when I retired from full-time teaching, I finally had the time to write it.
