Oh goodness! A question! Hello!
*excitement*
Okay, so I haven't read this book in SO long, but from memory, I think it's really about confidence. Learning to love yourself and take a chance on other people. Learning to forgive other people. Having the confidence to stick up for yourself and call people out, but also having the confidence to accept apologies and move on. I really loved that book when I read it. <3

My most recent book idea came from a number of things:
1. I'd been doing a lot of traveling to waterfalls and creeks and I'd recently been inspired by the idea of water with healing properties or good luck.
2. I'd been watching a lot of shows with classy mansions and clothes that inspired me to write from the perspective of a rich character for once.
3. I wanted to write about something I was very familiar with, and living in a tropical area I decided to write about a tropical paradise.

I don't deal with it well.
There are tons of tips people can give you to help with writers block, but when I'm in a slump I tend to stay that way. It's not that those tips don't help; they do, but they don't help me write to the best of my potential.
When I'm inspired, my writing will flow naturally and it will come across a lot better than if I'm forcing my un-inspired self to write.
I know that my writers block will pass eventually, and when it does I'll be able to write again for a long period of time. It's just the way my creative mind works. So I prefer to wait it out.

I love the rush I get from writing and the feeling of people enjoying my work. I love knowing I've reached them.
The best thing about being a writer is the emotion that comes from it.

My advice? Basically, the entire Shia LaBeouf Motivational Video.
"Don't let your dreams be dreams."
As bizarre as that video is, it speaks levels of truth. The only way into the writing world is to wear an armor of determination and confidence, and to keep an open mind to those who mean well, and an ignorant mind to those who wish to see you fail.
Any story inside of you that you wish to write deserves to be heard. Writing is hard; it's hard, hard work that deserves recognition, and you have to fight for that recognition.
Five tips I have are:
1. Familiarize yourself with the publishing industry; the expectations of publishers, the options you have available to you etc.
2. Read all the time. You can only learn from what you indulge in.
3. No matter how crazy life gets, make time to write.
4. Don't give up, no matter how long it takes.
5. Use manners; feel free to talk to authors and editors and anyone who may have helped you or inspired you, but know the boundaries, and always be polite no matter what they have said to you. This is how you make successful connections.

I am currently working towards publishing my Ryan Rupert Series through self-publishing. The first book is undergoing editing, and the second and third are being written.
I'm also working on editing my entire Starlight Chronicles series.
In terms of new books, I'm working on a novel called Sacred Waters.

Everyday events. I'll use a wide array of small happenings in my life, whether they be significant or not, and slowly it will start to form an idea in my head. When the idea has formed enough to give me a vision of how to write it, I'll start writing.
