A couple of years a go I had a conversation with a few friends about an article I had read. In this article a man had surgically attached his bank card chip onto his inner wrist, so he could just swipe his wrist at the check out and go. Then the conversation then turned to how in America they had developed a pill that gives you a full 24 hours of alertness. So could take this pill at 6pm on Monday night and not feel tired at all until 6pm Tuesday night.
This really got me thinking about a future where we would be overrun by technology... and the rest is history!

I usually think a lot in my down time about stories, places and characters, and then I usually sit on it for a while and think it over and over. Mull on it, pull it out and decode it in my head.
Then I plan out chapters and just write. Usually that is when the magic happens - when I put fingertip to keypad! Creating an ambiance really helps! So be comfy before you begin and clear your mind (or fill it with thoughts, depending on what your writing!).

[Jan 2016] Whilst still producing content on my blog I am currently at the tail end of wrapping up my debut book. This debut book is a Sci-Fi novella and it will be published in August of this year!
I am also working on a major (epic) adult fantasy novel based on the Queen of Hearts and the suit of Hearts!

Pursue. Your. Passion! Do it! DO IT! Honestly... against all odds, just do it! Educate yourself and immerse yourself in the writer's community. Study at either TAFE or Uni or an equivalent, get involved in a writing community, find a editor's and search long and hard for your muse!

I get to write stories for a living! Creating characters, worlds and intricate places is what I was born to do! Also, connecting with people who read my work and who actually like what I do just makes my life, it truly does!

I rarely get writer's block actually! Usually I get 'unmotivated', and honestly you just have to push through it. You just got to write! From experience though I've found that writer's block either has to do with feeling overwhelmed/unorganised or even a little nervous/anxious about the material that you are about to write.
Having a cup of tea, a nice candle, a few deep breaths, planning out your chapters/manuscript and giving yourself a pat on the back should fix this right up!
