M.L. Carrington For 2019, these are the books I've read this summer:

For the Fall 2019:
- The Wedding Guest by Jonathan Kellerman
- Someone Knows by Lisa Scottoline
- Hold Me Today by Maria Luis
M.L. Carrington I'm really good at compartmentalizing myself. I think that's one characteristic of Sara (my debut novel, What Sara Said) that she gets from me. So to deal with writer's block, I put my story in a mental box, decide on a timeframe (usually only a week or two) to "put it away" and then I come back to it refreshed and usually the block is gone. If that doesn't work, I take a long drive with a particular playlist on repeat that helps get my creative juices flowing.
M.L. Carrington I think most of my inspiration and motivation comes from other authors and readers who challenge me to constantly improve my craft. Music puts me "in the mood" and mental place to cast the scenes in my head to paper.
M.L. Carrington It was in the wee hours of the morning, before sunlight filled my home, when I would nurse my newborn son in the corner of his nursery. During those countless hours, I became a voracious reader and ideas for this story began to swirl in my head. The idea for the story, What Sara Said, is the beautiful result of sleepless nights, personal experience, and the influence of authors such as Elizabeth Brundage, Stephenie Meyer, and E.L. James.
M.L. Carrington As difficult as it is, I'm saying goodbye to Jude and Sara, so that I may begin writing a new series with brand new characters. Another set of suspenseful romances that'll follow the paths of two sisters, the men they love, and the secret they've kept hidden... until now, when an unexpected crisis forces one sister to reveal the truth to save herself.
