I'd travel to Hemingway's Paris of the 1920's in The Sun Also Rises. I'd lunch and drink to excess with Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and all the literati of the time. And maybe I'd write something lasting.

You simply sit down and write something. It really doesn't matter whether it's any good or not. Just begin. Even if it's bad, it can be fixed. What can't be fixed...is nothing.

Currently looking for publisher for a murder mystery that unfolds during and after World War II. The reader is pretty sure one of three protagonists did the deed. But as to which one, and why, well, hopefully that's what keeps readers turning the pages.

Ideas and inspiration comes in all forms, shapes, and sizes. Sometimes it's an individual I run across. Sometimes it's a period I'm fascinated with. Sometimes its just sitting and starting to put down words that sound good together. And wondering where they might lead.

The book I'm working on at the moment is a mystery that unfolds during and after World War II. I wanted to write about that period because it seemed to reflect the last time America was somewhat "together" about fighting an enemy that deserved to be stopped. And because it gave me an opportunity to write about some of the people Tom Brokaw referred to as "our greatest generation."
