Hi Jackie (:
No, not straight through like that - I wish I could do that though! It would make the sequel that much easier to write!
I mean that I wrote it all in order, one word after the next and there was no skipping ahead or going back and changing details. I knew the entire sequence of events and I just made it happen. It took about 4 months maybe of on/off writing. In total days, maybe about 60 where I wrote nonstop or tried to. (Terrible is a little over 83,000 words).
The hardest challenge for me is sitting there and typing out every little word of dialogue and description when you already know the outcome in full force. It was slow-going, but definitely worth the struggle!
Terri Bell being terrible is definitely close to a pun, and I guarantee a few more are in store (Hey! That Rhymed!)
Thanks for the questions! Happy Reading!

Hi Jackie! (Can I call you Jackie? I'm going for it!)
Thank you so much for your questions!
The cover is very tied in to the story and when I saw it I knew it was perfect! I asked the photographer if I could use it and when she said yes I was so excited because it fits so well! I don't want to give too much away, BUT I'll just say that it has to do with Shawn's nickname for Terri and something bad that happens later that might 'break' her... amongst a few other things that I can't spoil - sorry!
The inspiration for this story really just started with the name Terri Bell aka terrible. I had a heroine that was a bit on the darker side - itching for some action and I wanted to give her a story that was realistic when you messed with things/people you shouldn't because of that chip on your shoulder. I'd read a lot of books where nothing happens to the main characters who are in over their heads and I thought it was a little unrealistic. Life is harder than that and some choices have dire consequences before you might get the HEA. I don't have any personal backstory like hers or anything like that. It just whispered to me for about two years and I decided to put pen to paper, or rather fingers to keyboard and wrote it straight through.
If I had to choose a character I relate most to, it would have to be Terri's grandma! She's observant, likes naps and watches game shows. Most of my characters are very different from me and lead a much different life. It was so much fun to write about them and I hope you enjoy reading about them if you decide to take the chance!
