Hi Lisa, I just finished reading "The Party" and I loved it! It is the first of your novels I have read, I will definitely be reading more! I was just wondering if this story was inspired by true events? Cheers Sharni from Western Australia :D P.S. The bookclub I just joined had this book as their read of the month :D We will be discussing it on Thursday night !

I had the idea after a friend told me she was so drunk she couldn’t remember how she got home…luckily nothing bad happened to her but it did give me that spark of an idea…

Lisa Hall Sorry Federica, I only just saw this! It wasn't really an active decision - the ending was the first part that came to me in a "what if...?" kind of a way, and then the story just developed from there.
