Melody A. Kramer I remember the moment that my "Why Lawyers Suck" book idea was born. I had just hung up the phone from a contentious phone call with another lawyer and uttered the words "lawyers suck" instinctly, followed by the thought that somebody ought to write a book about that. The companion book "Lawyers Decoded" is the same content, but more politically correct title, after Facebook and Google had banned ads for "Why Lawyers Suck" because they misunderstood its intent and content.
Melody A. Kramer Write, just keep on writing. Not everything you write will be brilliant, but that's okay. Often the brilliance comes from just practicing your craft over and over again. Also do a lot of reading. You don't want to replicate anyone else's style, but you will get ideas of how to bring your writing to life. I've also found that being part of a writing and sharing group helps build skills and confidence.
Melody A. Kramer I have several books in process right now, but the next to launch is a fun book called "Green Leaves and Brownies" and explains the current fascinating legal landscape of cannabis law. Whether you are for or against cannabis use, this will be an entertaining read. Its currently with a team of illustrators and I'm loving what I'm seeing so far.
