I am re-reading all of Stuart MacBride's "Logan McRae" series. MacBride is a Scottish writer and the books revolve around a Detective Sargent in the Scottish Police force. I am re-reading as the next installment won't be out until some time in 2018. I can hardly wait!

The search for my grandfather's family could be worked into a plot. He was abandoned as a child and when I finally found the information he had already passed away. I think this premise would work as the basis of a good story.

For me, the best thing about being a writer is the creative outlet. I love to get my ideas organized and down on paper. It also works well, being able to work when I want, on no one schedule but my own.

Unfortunately, I seem to deal with this problem at bed time. I keep running scenes through my mind until I get the result that satisfies what I am trying to write. This makes more of a night owl that I really want to be.
