For me, the best bit is when your main characters become real to you, and you can see them in your mind's eye, and understand how they will react to situations. It's the best thing in the world when you realise you've completely forgotten about yourself and the dialogue is all theirs!

I've just finished the next in the series, which follows on from Whatever It Takes ends, and am now working on book 4.

I've always been fascinated by the effect that technology has on our lives, positive and negative. So many of us are confused and scared about computers, so I wanted to play with the idea of a son and mother, previously very close, who end up apparently divided by his IT expertise.
