Rebe James Don't get discouraged by the numbers. People may come, they may not. They may like what you have to say, they may not. Don't worry! Write for yourself, and enjoy what you are doing each and every day.
Rebe James Being able to put to paper whatever crosses your mind, without worrying about who might think it odd or wrong. A writer doesn't need to publish anything, but to be able to write about everything is both inspiring and calming.
Rebe James I open my eyes and ears every morning and look and listen to everything. I'm inspired by the truth and seem to be most prolific when trying to right a wrong.
Rebe James Lisa, it seems to be a new category. Basically it is historical fiction, (or sometimes considered speculative fiction); but uses specific characters that are known to us in history and tells an alternative tale on what happened in that given time period with those characters. It asks the question, What if history had developed differently?"
Rebe James You have to be willing to take a break when this happens. Most authors know what it's like to have thoughts screaming in their heads waiting to be put to paper. This can't be the case all the time and we need to understand this. Chances are that if there is a 'block', then whatever would be penned wouldn't be any good anyway. So go outside, visit family and friends; enjoy your time away from your computer and be happy!
Rebe James I'm currently working on the sequel to The Greatest Story Ever Told, entitled The Greatest Story Ever Told - Take Two (The Yeshua Years), and loving every minute of it.
Rebe James A long while back, I started the ambitious project of paraphrasing the bible in an effort to help explain its core meaning and values to my children–a sort of Cliff Notes, if you will. Little did I know then the labyrinth I would be led through in an effort to find the truth. The inconsistencies and fundamental flaws in the logic and historicity of what I was reading led me to extensive research on the this topic and more. I became a truth seeker, and then a truth advocate. As an engineer I was taught how to research, to think outside the box, but more importantly to confirm ones theories. In my own seeking of critical answers, I began to research the unthinkable, alternative history and science advanced by men and women who have been defamed or deliberately shunned by academia. And I am eternally grateful I did! For without this introduction into the brilliant scholarship outside of the revered halls of academia, I would still be believing in fairy tale science and the silly dogma that is taught as history today. Dare I say, I had become a conspiracy theorist. The result was this new series, an altogether different work than what I had set out to do, but one I am quite proud of.
