T.M. Strait THe discipline to write every day. I also have multiple things to write on, and I can switch from one thing to another, so I don't really have to worry about being blocked too much.
T.M. Strait The money.

HAHAHA!

I wish!

For someone who is naturally shy in social interactions, it is a great way to express one's self. I have a very active imagination and sometimes, things just have to be let out.

It gets crowded in there.
T.M. Strait Set aside a time when you write every day. It doesn't matter what you write, as long as you develop the discipline to do it. For me, I get up at 5:15 each weekday and write for thirty to forty-five minutes before I have to go to work.
T.M. Strait I currently have a completed novel that is is in the final editing stage. It's tentatively titled Crowley Stories: Swamp's Edge. It is an inter-related series of short stories about a small southern town near the edge of the Okefenokee swamp. It is inspired by books like Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio, and follows the lives of many characters. The stories can be read individually, but increase in richness the more you read. There is a murder mystery, and the odd investigative pairing of a very Southern Sheriff with a Yankee CPA. I hope to have this released in the next few months.

I am also working on a science fiction novelette, called My Europa, which is an answer to a challenge from science fiction author Jack McDevitt to write a more positive kind of science fiction story, to contrast with the flood of dystopian works that have come out.
T.M. Strait I've always wanted to be a writer. I have been an avid reader, and I always thought about the types of books and stories I would most want to read. I decided to write them myself, and from 7th grade on, I knew I would use the pen name T. M. Strait, inspired by one of my favorite writers, H. G. Wells.
T.M. Strait History of the Trap originated from when I was in the 9th grade. I would come to school early with my father, who was the school principal (as is Lance's father in the book), and have an half hour or more before other students arrived. I wondered what it would be like to be trapped in the school, and I started sketching out my ideas. Although I would have many years where I wrote nothing on it, I never could get it completely out of my head. Finally, I developed the discipline of writing in the morning before I went to work, and I started adding to the novel bit by bit. I am excited to present it to the public, and look forward to continuing the series.
