I am working on promoting THE FIX and RUBY...it is hard to get motivated to write a new book when you are waiting for the reading world to embrace books you have already written...So please read my books, review them and above all else - enjoy!

Hello Aurora Jade, apologies for the delay in replying, I don't get my questions flagged on my profile page...I guess the inspiration for THE FIX was my best friend Melanie who loved new age healing, self help and all of that. Her life was short due to illness, so I think she felt something needed to be fixed. So it only seemed right to bring some of her spirit into a book...So glad you love it!!

Hello Rose...I'm not sure if I replied to you...I wrote a comment at the bottom of your GR page where GR friends leave their comments. The comment is still there...Hope you are well and thanks for your kind words...All the best, Jan Beauclerc

(view spoiler)[Hi, I’m Olivia a literary specialist focused on helping authors grow their reach and connect with the right readers.
I came across your book and was truly impressed. It has real potential to reach a wider audience, and I’d love to explore how I can support you in that journey. Would you be open to a quick chat? (hide spoiler)]

My recent book, The Fix was inspired by my best friend. She suffered mental health issues all of her life and she sought and fought to find solutions and live what she saw as a normal life...so from her I learned about addiction, new age healing and so much more...Through her I learned about life and love, so in many ways The Fix, was inspired by her, her life and the idea that some people are looking for a cure and often that cure is LOVE.

I am inspired by everything around me and would spend every waking hour writing if I could. xo J

Answer - write, write, write and just don't let anyone stop you! I was put off by so many people and I regret not following my own passion...Also don't expect perfection, write down your idea, get your plot/story/characters onto paper/computer and then you can refine it later. But start by thinking, living, breathing the story and worry about editing it later!

Answer - The best thing about being a writer is creating characters, and inventing stories of course! I love to immerse myself in another world.

The answer to this question depends on which author/book I am reading...At the moment I would like to travel to Andrea Camilleri's Sicily and meet Inspector Montalbano and fall in love!

I have never had writer's block. I have other things that get in the way of my writing or make it difficult to find time, but I can always sit down and write...My biggest problem is that I never have enough time to write AND that I can't afford to market my work, so the world really doesn't know about my writing...J xo

This summer I will read Andrea Camilleri books (the ones I haven't already), from his Inspector Montalbano series & work on my own books...
