P. Mark DeBryan Probably September 2017 Unlike some authors I write about one a year. Thanks for asking and I hope you look for it!
P. Mark DeBryan Hi Robin, sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I have been quite busy these last couple of weeks. I have a blog on my website http://pmarkdebryan.com that I have started a bio of the key characters. I add one about once a week. Go to my site and look for Mark's Blog. Thanks for being a reader! I love readers! :)
P. Mark DeBryan I stop writing and go have a beer. It usually doesn't last long for me.
P. Mark DeBryan I am a people person. Much to my wife's dismay I will stop and start a conversation with complete strangers every time I get the chance. I enjoy hearing other's stories and have incorporated some of them in my writing. Some writers are really burdened by creating every single punctuation mark, or situation in their story. I, however, know that everything I write has been written before, in one shape or another. No new idea under the sun, I believe I have read that somewhere before. So, I like entertaining people, and I don't have the timing to be a stand-up comedian
P. Mark DeBryan I don't feel 100% comfortable giving advice as I have just begun this journey myself. Only thing I can say is... Sit down and write.
P. Mark DeBryan I am working on a second book for the series An Apocalypse Family. It will have the same cast and follow them as they move forward. I will focus more on a few key characters. The first book had a host of characters and I knew that it would be a problem for some people, but I kept them in the book because I felt they were what the story was really about. The second book will be focused more on certain characters, while using the existing larger group as needed to support the story.
P. Mark DeBryan I need quit, I can't listen to music or have the TV on in the background. I re-read the last four or five pages that I wrote previously and then I just write.
P. Mark DeBryan I was asked to write a short story by John O'Brien. It was to be based in his series A NEW WORLD. He originally published "In For A Dollar In For A Dime" in his book Untold Stories. He then graciously allow me to take the short story and develop into a full length novel. Some changes were made to the story but the creatures and situation remain mostly the same. This was the impetus for Family Reunion.
