I think the biggest challenge I faced as a teen author was scheduling. Outside of being an author, I was tremendously involved academically and extracurricularly. About 90% of my classes were Honors and Advanced Placement level classes and I maintained a high GPA, which was time-consuming on the academic front. I also had extracurricular commitments as an elected Student Council Representative, the Vice President of Model United Nations, an elementary school classroom tutor, as well as other activities throughout high school including Varsity Rowing, Track & Field, being an editor and writer for my school newspaper, history club, filmmaking club, robotics, and other activities I am likely forgetting. And to top it all off, I am an editor for the lyrics website Genius. In short, the reason I had a four year span between books was exactly because of this reason. I had so many commitments and lacked a proper schedule to get everything in my life done, making for quite the challenge in maintaining my momentum as a teen author. However, once I became a self-proclaimed master of scheduling, I was able to be much more productive in completing my schoolwork, extracurriculars, and writing, editing, and publishing my books.

I have absolutely no idea. I could be anywhere, and ideas pop into my head. But if I had to specify it would be real-world science and technology that give me ideas, as well as sci-fi and thriller movies.

For my most recent book, Fury of the Storm, I got the idea from my love of weather. I have loved weather for years, and finally decided to write a book themed around weather. And Fury of the Storm was born.
