Cliff Yates Thanks so much for the question. Apologies, I was absent from goodreads for quite a while as you see. After retiring from the LA Sheriff's Department I felt the need to write my "Truth about Cops" book. And after going Vegan and getting such amazing results, I wanted to share my experience with the hope of inspiring others to make some changes. I was seeing to many friends and family dying at an early age. And now I love the process of creating. My heart and soul have been in performing since retiring. But I have a hard time sitting in traffic for 2 hours for a two minute audition. Writing is a wonderful way to fill the creative drive, while dictating your own hours and pace.
Cliff Yates The more i learn about writing, and compare what I've learned with what I see in stories on television and in movies, inspires me to write my own stories.
Cliff Yates I am currently working on a success series, based on my 20 years studying success, and my experience with putting these success principles into action. I am also taking a writing course on how to write a mystery novel.
Cliff Yates This is such a great time for writers and aspiring writers. We now live in an age where all information is at our fingertips. We can learn anything we need to learn about writing. We can take writing courses on line, we can research any subject we can think of.
Cliff Yates Its a great way to express yourself, share your information and knowledge. It's a great outlet for your creativity, that you can share with the world.
Cliff Yates Learn to write, when your most inspired to write. I keep track of ideas that come to me wherever I am, I take note. Later I go back to these notes and put them into my computer and categorize them, and by doing this, Im putting the ideas into my sub conscious again, which begins to work on them more. I learned that I am more creative at different times of the day. I sometimes schedule time to write. During these sessions I write something, or verbally express ideas, like a stream of consciousness, and ideas come from these ramblings, that I then note, to expand on later.
Cliff Yates I was a cop for 35 years, who also does stand up comedy. With all the media bashing of police officers, I was getting a lot of questions about cops in my comedy interviews. I felt if people knew the truth about how cops were hired, and what the process was for hiring candidates, the public would feel more confident in our American Cops.
