In our society currently people no longer have meaningful conversations. The poems within this book were selected to spark conversations beyond the now typical what you did and what you acquired along your path in life as it has become the norm. What about the things that really matter? The things that people are scared to discuss and how everything is connected yet we have been forced to become disconnected from each other to the point where we think a good conversation is talking about the latest reality show or the latest celebrity gossip that seems to keep us from looking and discussing the things that really matter in life on a universal level. That is what gave me the ideas for this book of poetry.

The best thing about being a writer is the ability and freedom to speak about a variety of topics fictional and non-fictional. Being able to convey a message that others can relate to. It's wonderful to get feedback both positive and negative,

I think to call it writer's block is a negative state of mind. If one can't find the words to convey the message they wish at a particular time. Take a step back and allow yourself a moment or two to refresh. Being upset and attempting to force something to happen is not going to help. Inspiration and words come when we are in a relaxed state.

Currently I am working on several things but in the writing arena I am currently creating and compiling material for another book of poetry and a story line for a possible novel.

Inspiration can come from anywhere. It could be a phrase that I heard that leads to a line of connecting thoughts, an image, an emotion, or a situation that leads me to write.
