How do you deal with writer’s block?
Lashaundra Manley Good question, this may sound weird but I love combining music and reading. Sometimes I could be listening to a song and come up with an idea, or sometimes I could be reading one of my favorite novels and get triggered with an idea. Bottom line, if you have an idea for a part, jump on it don’t let it pass you by. You can find yourself on a role with one idea.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Lashaundra Manley Because my genre of writing is fiction, the best part for me is creating characters and story lines, that will hopefully grab and stick with the reader. create characters, they can relate too or want to relate too. To be able to instill the same high, that I get when I’ve indulged in a good book from one of my favorite authors.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Lashaundra Manley I’m still very new to this myself, but this is a challenging field to break into, as a new writer, but if you are passionate and believe in your craft and potential, things will fall into place. It sounds cliche, but if this is really what you want, you can’t give up..

Lashaundra Manley Currently, I’m working or testing out a interracial romance novel, titled “Sultry Affair” on Wattpad, you can check it out by typing in Lashaundra Manley in the search engine or simply typing in the title.

How do you get inspired to write?
Lashaundra Manley My passion for the art of it all. my inspiration is played by a number of factors, I’m an avid reader of romance novels and conversations that move me intellectually. So depending on my mood, you never know what I might be bound to create.

Lashaundra Manley My ideas, for my poetry are mostly based on how I’m feeling at that moment and geared by things going on in society.
