Elise McCune That is a good question. We all have secrets and they can relate to the past or something that has happened in our own life. In every family history and every life there are mysteries. I do have secrets and some of them would make a good book! But if I told you what they are then it wouldn’t be a secret or a mystery anymore. You have prompted me to think about what I can include in a future book.
Warm regards, Elise
Elise McCune Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler.

Because of the way Margaret Mitchell brings the characters to life. They stay with you long after you have turned the last page of ‘Gone with the Wind’. And the author also knows the history of the Civil War as she came from the South and she weaves it in effortlessly.
Elise McCune Hi Roxy,

I’d love to send you a finished copy if you let me know where to post it. The ARC copy has text that has been changed. The finished copy is beautiful and the quality of paper is much better. It is lovely that you want to donate a copy of Castle of Dreams to such a worthy cause.
Cheers Elise
Elise McCune Hi Natalie,

This is an interesting question. Since I could write I have always written stories. It came from a great love of reading. I’d make up stories even before then and pretend to read the words from a picture book. To be a writer you have to read.
Elise McCune Just keep writing. If you write each day then it becomes easier. A good idea is to write anything at all first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed. Have a pen or pencil with a notebook beside your bed. It sets up a habit and then you will find it easier to start writing the story or article you have in your mind when you sit down to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard.
Elise McCune There are so many! I can enter a world of my own imagination and become so engrossed in writing my story that my characters become real people to me.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they walked through my front door. I’d know them immediately.
Elise McCune Write every day. Even fifteen minutes a day starts a habit. Remember if you have time to watch television you have time to write.
Elise McCune I have started a new novel. At the moment I won’t say what it is about other than, like Castle of Dreams, it is a dual narrative story.
Elise McCune I have always loved drawing, painting and writing. Gradually writing became my main focus and I write every day.
Elise McCune It was on a visit to Paronella Park in far north Queensland where there are the ruins of a Spanish castle built in the rainforest. It became my inspiration for Castillo de Suenos in the novel.
