I actually went to my bookshelves to answer this question, it's tough because honestly I fall in love with a lot of characters. My favorite couple from the classics would be Jane and Mr. Rochester, Jane Eyre. It's a beautiful love story published in 1847, way ahead of it's time.
Other characters that come to mind besides Isabelle Carte and Alec Reed are Jamie and Claire (Outlander), because really, who doesn't love a Highland warrior?

The best thing about being a writer is losing yourself to the characters and storyline to create a work that you hope will one day entertain readers. When I'm working on a manuscript, I can't stop thinking about where the story is going to go next and how I'm going to get there. I love the adventure of being a writer.
