Tiffany, first of all, thank you for your patience! I’m only about four years late answering this question. 😂 I’m so sorry, and thank you for such a lovely compliment.
I do have a general idea of where a story is going when I start, but I’m not a strict outliner. For me, the characters really do come to life as I write.
It often feels as if they’re in the room with me, trying to give me their side of the story. Their voices match their personalities too. Some are quiet and make me work ridiculously hard to figure them out, while others simply WILL NOT SHUT UP. 😂 They’ll pop into my head with dialogue, opinions, or entire scenes at the most inconvenient times.
As I get to know them, I often discover things about them that I didn’t plan in advance, and those discoveries can change where the story goes. That’s one of my favorite parts of writing. There comes a point when the characters feel less like people I invented and more like people I’m trying to keep up with.

I don't have a specific list but listen to audios which give me a nice change from reading all day. I tend to steer toward romance and enjoy anything with banter. Enemies to lovers are probably my favorite genre. What about you?

That's a difficult question for me to answer. I'm not sure which books I associate my craft with because my inspiration isn't just from books, but real life coaching sessions that I've had for years with people who trusted me with their darkest secrets.
The reason I began to write was a strong urge that grew over time. The 5 books in the slave series were finished in five months because I wrote obsessively. That's when I discovered how much I love to write fiction and I've never looked back since them.

I'm working on a new book called Orenda and in that book there's a portal to a secret place that's lush and warm all year with animals walking around among the humans who live there. That's a place I'd LOVE to visit. <3

From my other books. People and events pop up and there's always a whole new story waiting to be written. So many ideas, not enough time :)

I read a lot... and by a lot I mean 20-30 books a month. Also I've been blessed with an incredible rich and eventful life so far and met many interesting people that I pull on for inspiration. The other day I picked up my dog after a vacation, and on the thirty minute drive home I came up with a complete plot for a new book. Now I just need to finish King of Slaves, so I can write it.
