Karl Fox This one has been in my head for about fifteen years. I have always loved the supernatural, adventure, and political stories. I took all my favorite elements and put them together into a story I would be interested in reading if someone else wrote it.
Karl Fox I just write ideas down on paper, any and every idea. Then start filtering them down and tying them back into the existing story arches and deciding what new arch to add.
Karl Fox I am in the scene list phase of the second volume in my first series, name to be decided still.
Karl Fox Just do it. Don't worry about whether you will be financially successful or not. You do not have to give up your life as it is now to write a book. It just takes some diligence and committing to that 7000 words a week. Which is really not that much once you get rolling.
Karl Fox Taking a story that only existed in your head and putting it in words. That story gets to live on beyond you and if your lucky other people will like your particularly brand of insanity too.
Karl Fox I like to take a break and do something completely different to writing to work it out. Normally Ill go read a book, or play some video games and it resolves itself. In the worst cases I go talk it out with someone.
