I generally check Facebook or answer e-mails to distract myself. Sometimes I'll look at something else I'm working on or even take a break... Thankfully, don't face it too much... yet. Too many ideas running around in my head, that are desperate to get onto the page. Ideas are moving faster than I can write or type, so it' hasn't been too much of a problem so far.

Holding a book in my hand that I wrote is one of the most rewarding things I can think of. Something I created, poured my heart into, is in my hand. Secondly, reviews! When my peers are reading my books and give me great reviews and great feedback, it's not only rewarding but encouraging. It's reminding me that I do have talent, and that I'm moving in the right direction.

Never stop writing. Never give up on your dream. I've been dreaming of being a published writer for 35 years, and now, I am. Yes, it's a completely different dynamic than getting published by one of the "big 5". However, if you look anywhere in the trades and on the internet, you'll find that there are tens of thousands of successful self-publishers, that may or may not have ever been picked up by a publisher. It's a little more work, but just as rewarding, if not more-so, because you did more of the work.

Taxes. But if you mean, the next story, then it will be the first of three series that I am wanting to write. This one will be romantic suspense, taking place in exciting places in and outside the United States.

I'm always inspired to write. It's like breathing to me... or playing with my grandkids. It's just fun and fulfills me... again, like playing with my grandkids.

I actually first wrote this book thirty years ago, and it came from reading a headline I believe where a young woman lost her son and husband in an accident. I began imagining what that woman would go through, how she would handle it, and the story grew from there. I rewrote the story completely, so that it would be relevant to the times now. But the bones of the story—the basic outline, stayed the same... mostly.
