Michael Rickard I had the idea for some time but never sat down to write it until I was incarcerated. I figured I wasn't going anywhere for at least a few years so I wrote it down. When I was released from prison I worked on it for several years. After much work, it's almost ready for release.
Michael Rickard For me it's being able to entertain people whether it's nonfiction or fiction. I've been blessed with so many great reading experiences by my favorite authors and I hope someday I'm able to give others the same.
Michael Rickard I love to write about a variety of subjects and people seem willing to pay me for my writing. I have bills to pay and writing helps me pay them. That's all the inspiration I need. LOL.
Michael Rickard Right on! I know it can be difficult to write at times, but I write every day (unless I'm on vacation-then it's every other day). You just have to put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard, etc.

Michael Rickard Write. Write. Write. Write every day, even if it's only for 20 minutes. Read quality fiction and non-fiction so you get comfortable with style and good grammar. Take a writing class if you can.
Michael Rickard I rarely get writer's block because I make it a habit to write every day. Sometimes my initial writing is garbage (some might argue it all is LOL) but I keep writing until I get into the groove. I find it helpful to have different things to write about. For example, I like writing about film, TV, comics, literature, professional wrestling, and music so it's rare I don't have something to write about.
