Duke Zimmer Nick and Nora Charles. I like strong women characters and Nora typifies a strong woman, she's the brains and the wit while she let's Charles do the heavy lifting.
Duke Zimmer Write, write, write and then write some more. Keep a journal with you at all times and write your thoughts down. At night, keep your journal on your nightstand. You'll be surprised at how many great ideas come to you just before you fall asleep. Don't sleep, Write the ideas down. If you wait until the morning, they'll be gone. Another thing you should be doing is reading. Not just in your genre, but a variety of genres. See how other writers use words to convey thoughts, images and emotions. Duke Zimmer I do something that doesn't require my thinking about the book. I enjoy woodworking, reading and there's always something to do around the house. As soon as my mind is clear, something will come to me and I can go back to writing. Thank you for asking.

Duke Zimmer It's less inspiration and more perspiration. I write four to six hours a day. If I get blocked, I do something else, like woodworking, until an idea comes to me and then it's back to the computer. Thanks for asking.
Duke Zimmer I read an article on human trafficking and began researching the subject. One thing I learned was that no one is immune from the scourge of human traffickers. I wondered what I would do if someone I knew came to me for help. How would I, an aging vet and former Intelligence Agent, using mostly old school tactics, handle such an investigation.
