Like everyone, I have desires. I make my unwitting characters live out those desires. Did you ever play with dolls or action figures when you were younger? That's what I do with my characters. They are my playthings. *evil grin*

And write what you want. Don't be timid. If you feel like dropping f-bombs, do it. If you want to write about sex, do it! If you want to make a sick, depraved character, do that. And if you want a neat, clean story with none of the above, then do that!

When I get stuck on a story, I go back and read it again. Sometimes the mood can coax a scene out of my brain. If I get bored with one story, I move on to another. I always have a handful going at once, in different stages of completion.
Another thing that often works for me is skipping a scene and continuing on the path I mean to take. Sometimes it makes a scene fall into place. You don't always have to write in a straight line.
