I apologize for not answering sooner. I was fighting a bout with cancer. I won, but the recovery from the treatment takes a long time. I just finished my second thriller, THE SHAMAN, and am working on my third in the series. I'd love to connect and share thoughts, but I'm pretty much set on a path to get more books out in this series I'm working on. Promotion for an indie author is something I'm trying to figure out...and that includes Goodreads!

Lee Child, Daniel Silva, some PA writers; mostly working on completing a thriller novel for August publication.

There are few mysteries if you look closely enough. I've found most of life's incidents have had a purpose or reason. Nothing is lost, everything serves a purpose, has an effect, if we examine it fully. Reflection allows one to use all of life's experiences, good and bad. The greatest mystery might be, why am I still alive? But even that yields to reflection if you believe life is purposeful.

I'm working hard on it; 1/3 of the way through. I'm in new territory writing with a POV of Catherine. Not familiar territory! Luckily I have some smart women in my circle that can help me get the tone authentic.

If you're in the middle of your work, start re-reading it. By the time you arrive at the frontier, you should be re-immersed in your story. I also try to follow Stephen King's advice to write 2,000 words a day. Don't always get there, but try to get over a thousand at least.

Living in my character's worlds. It's awesome. Like being on an adventure without leaving your room.

Not sure I'm qualified to answer this since I'm an "aspiring writer". One piece of advice I received was when you think you're done, print your manuscript out and read it out loud. It is amazing how reading it that way uncovers typos, bad dialogue and boring sections. I did it three times for my first novel.

A sequel to "After the Fall", hoping that the first novel will be well received and require one. I also have a rough draft of another story with a completely different protagonist in a completely different genre. He's kind of a cross between a Vince Flynn and Daniel Silva character. I'm excited about taking him through some adventures, but feel I should complete the sequel first.

I was retired from running a retail business and when the story kept nagging at me, I decided, "what the heck." I'll write it down.

This is my debut novel. The idea came from reading Willliam Fortschen's book, "One Second After". I was fascinated by the comprehensive collapse of our society's support systems from an EMP attack. For weeks I ruminated over the changes. I found myself dreaming/imagining scenes from a different protagonist's viewpoint. Finally I decided to start the story titled, "After the Fall: Jason's Story". It's a personal journey of one man's odyssey of survival after an attack.
