Sabrina Ramoth When I am working on a new idea I generally won't write if I have to force the creativity to come. In that case, I would either move on to another scene and hope the words come. And if that doesn't work, I'll call it a day and do some reading or take a drive and listen to music. Usually after a little time away something clicks and I can go back and write what wasn't working.
Sabrina Ramoth The best thing about being a writer... Hmmm that's a tough one. I like getting to know my characters and watching their stories unfold as I write. I find it thrilling.
Sabrina Ramoth Write! I know that seems like the most simple of answers, but it's really the only one that really makes sense. If you want to write, write! Don't listen to the little voice that tells you that you can't. Write the words however they may come out and worry about cleaning them later.

Read! After I began writing, reading changed. I started looking at how other writers did things and why things worked or didn't. Reading is one of the greatest tools for an author.

Let others read your work. I know sometimes that can be hard, but it is truly the only way you will ever grow as a writer. Now I don't mean just let anyone and everyone read your work. Join writing groups, connect with other writers share your work with people you feel comfortable with that will tell you the good and the bad.

And lastly, just keep writing. Don't ever give up.
Sabrina Ramoth While I can't write while listening to music, music greatly inspires my writing. It might be a the lyrics of a song or the tone of the music that ignites the spark. Often my greatest inspiration comes while driving listening to music.
Sabrina Ramoth I was driving my oldest daughter to a birthday party and randomly got the idea. I jot down a one sentence idea on a piece of scrap paper laying on the floor of my car and later that night I began writing what is now The Curse of the Bruel Coven.
Sabrina Ramoth I am currently working on Book Two in The Bruel Witch Series.
