I currently have a first draft of the second novel, and I have a plot for the third novel planned. I usually don't do series, but with Hammers & Heartstrings, I felt like April and Andrew's story wasn't fully over yet, and they needed one more book, so Three Chords & the Truth was written. The third novel came to me not too long after I finished the first draft of the second book, and I realized there was more I could do with their universe. I'm fairly certain it will be ending at three books.
I don't usually have my ideas too far in advance, I tend to think of a story, write it down, then go with the flow.

Keep on writing! Remember that novels are art, and art is subjective. Not everyone will love what you do, and that's okay. You just have to find the right readers for your story, and I promise you that they exist.

I went to see a local band play an acoustic set inside of a Hot Topic, and inspiration struck - April O'Connell was born. That night I went home and wrote the first chapter of what would later become Hammers & Heartstrings.
