Thank you for the question, Mariia! Coming to terms with the writer label was surprisingly difficult for me. More accurately, it was the author label. Because at the time of finishing my first novel, I was writing for a government magazine, so writer-editor was my official job title. I didn't really force myself to face the author label until I signed my publishing contract. Then it all came crashing down on me, and it was very intimidating. Isn't that funny? Something I worked so hard for and I was embarrassed to embrace it.

I do any number of things. If it's just something temporary that I need to work out, I get up and make myself some tea or take a shower.
If it's serious business writer's block, I try to talk it out with friends (particularly writer friends). Or, I just occupy myself with other things until the breakthrough dawns on me. That could take anywhere from ten minutes to a few weeks.
