(view spoiler)[Hands down, my favorite fictional couple is Celia Bowen and Marco Alistair from Erin Morgenstern's The Night Circus. I love this couple for many reasons, but I will keep my response short. :)
Their love is a magical one. Celia and Marco's chemistry and magnetic pull towards one another is so strong that it crosses into parallel planes of existence. The couple literally devotes all of eternity to one another, and both make countless sacrifices to be together without turning their backs on those they love the most. (hide spoiler)]

I get back to the basics. I do some research on a topic on which I'm interested in writing. I switch genres temporarily. Mostly, a solid bout of writer's block can be cured by reading.

The best thing about being a writer is getting to live all the lives I want to live. I can be anything I want to be today, and the next novel can bring a new adventure for me to try.

Don't stop writing. Sometimes, the writing world can get dark and lonely. Get out and make friends. Wallow in some self-pity and doubt from time to time, but never, ever stop writing.

Other writers inspire me. Music is a huge inspiration. I like to take a lyric or two and create characters from those words. Nature is also an inspiration. I love to hike, and Mother Nature is a wonderful muse.

Paper Lantern Promises was inspired by a hiking trip to Bryson City, NC, and then later, it was reignited by a trip to Savannah, GA.
