I get up and move around. If nothing comes to me, I just look around and start writing what I see. That seems to work best for me.

I get my inspiration from many places. Sometimes looking at my pets, or something funny that happens in my house. There are days that I look outside and see a great scene while driving. I just never know when or were my inspiration will come from. That's one of the great things about being a writer. :)

My best advice is to keep writing. Your first draft does not need to be perfect. You just need to get it written. Once you have written your first draft, you can edit it. But you can't edit if you don't write.
