Tit Petric Some things shouldn't be forced. Ideas some when you least expect them, so having some down periods in between is normal. Just be prepared when an idea hits you to drop everything and start writing. Or at least write the idea down for a later time. Inspiration of the moment is a great thing, but it takes effort to be consistent.
Tit Petric First, you should write for yourself. Then, you should write for others. If it's not interesting for you, it will not be interesting for anybody else.
Tit Petric I'm currently working on "The SaaS Handbook". It's my attempt to implement an actual paid SaaS offering, and documenting the steps one has to take to achieve that on the way.
Tit Petric I'm solving my own problems, and writing technical articles or book chapters is usually me scratching my own itch. Of course, teaching is also an important factor and knowing that somebody will learn from my mistakes and experience is an important inspiration in writing.
Tit Petric I like the subject of high-availability when it comes to development. I prefer the services which I write to be somewhat resilient to failure, so that I can spend my time on developing new features instead of putting out fires. The 12 Factor App principles are a good step towards this goal, and I documented the steps I took with Go and Docker to implement these principles.
