Finally, she managed to make it out into nature, alone, without anything or anyone to distract her from her own thoughts. Nightfall had come and she smiled to herself as she ducked into her tent, zipped it closed, kicked off her shoes and unzipped her waiting sleeping bag to find it was filled with someone else's blood.

Believe it or not, I don't have plans to pick up anything to read this summer other than my own "Phrasing". I have plans to record it as a audio book and I know that will take up a lot of my time. Also, I am in the midst of prepping my second novel "Rhythm" for it's ebook release so I am currently editing that at this time. So, I think it's safe to say I have no plans to pick up anything new this summer.

If I have to choose one favorite fictional couple I have to say Bella and Edward from the Twilight series. Call me a teenie bobber, if you want, but you have to love a couple who accepts each other for exactly who they are. Neither of them try to change the other. She loves him for all of his monster, hellish ways; while he loves her nervous awkwardness that comes with being human. I have a thing about imperfect things. And as imperfect as this match is, it works in a sweet way. Even though he has survived generations, he still does not have it figured out. Even though he has been forced to survive in a world destined for hellfire, he basks in the purity of her. Together, they do this dance of uncertainty in order to reach a common goal - to be free to love each other. That is romance in its truest form.
Yep, Bella and Edward make up my favorite fictitious couple...by far.

The way I deal with writer's block is to step away and wait for it to come back to me. I used to try to force it, but ended up blocked for years. I have learned while writing the Inner Music Series novels that if I step back and let it go, it comes back in a rush.
Be patient. The story will tell itself.

I believe the best thing about being a writer is having the ability to never run out of a good book. There is always a place to escape to when you need a break from everyday.

My advice to other aspiring writers is to write what you love. Don't listen to what the so-called professionals tell you you should write. Write what you would love to read and get lost in it. You give it life that way.

Phrasing is a trilogy. I have just completed the last one and am now working on another novel which takes place in a whole other part of the world.

Music inspires me.

I got the idea for my recent book from being exposed to the world of the music industry. It is my experience that people tend to forget that the music world affects women the same as it affects men and I wanted to give life to the reality that women are not immune to the glitz and fame.
