The characters of The Wishing Stone are based on my kids. Spenser is my oldest son and he has red hair just like the character. He named the cave boy Arco and told me what he was like. I had to get into the mind of a seven year old!

Sometimes it is as simple as a conversation. One of the guys at my gym constantly talks about his daughter, and he became the inspiration for my hero in When Love Returns.

I've been working on A Father's Love for months, but I wanted the story to really focus on the love for a child changing a man, and I kept starting with guys that were too nice. I finally had to write Maxwell horrible in the beginning so that he had a chance to change. It was hard, and I guarantee you will hate him in the beginning, but give him a chance.
