Thanks for asking! I wrote a fun book with my oldest son, called "Base Hits and Home Run Relationships: What Women Wish Men Knew." I used a baseball theme because I wanted guys to read it and be able to relate to the metaphors through sports. I wrote tons of advice from a mom's and woman's perspective, and my son wrote the "Coach Cooper" sections which were, honestly, the best parts of the book! After we published the book, guys would come up to him and say, "Woah, this stuff really works!" Since then, my son has gone on to create the incredibly popular dating app called "Mutual"! I'm so proud of him!

I love having proof that I lived. I love the creative writing process. I love having written and being able to meet my fans who have read it and liked it! I always wanted to be an author, ever since I was a little girl. I didn't know what I would write about, but I knew I'd write! I love words and ideas and being able to put them together in creative ways.

I always knew I’d be a writer when I was a little girl. I just didn’t know exactly what I’d be writing about! I started collecting inspiring quotes and ideas for my books when I was only 7 years old. I kept them in a little box, which grew into dozens of filing cabinets full of material. Thank goodness we can now scan documents into our computer now! I've always loved clever word play, foreign languages and different ways of communicating. Would you believe I actually liked diagramming sentences in middle school? My kids think I'm such a nerd. Ha ha

Most of us usually don't have the luxury of writing when we want to or when the creative juices are flowing...we have to grab quick snatches during our busy days and nights! Some writers get creative while listening to certain kinds of music or when it's completely silent and everyone at home is asleep. The trick is to write when you can and just let the pen flow. You can go back and edit later!

Get a platform. Publishers want writers who aren't a "one trick pony", but who have a platform, an established fan base, and who can create multiple products. Write about what you're passionate about.
