I find that just sitting in front of the computer and writing a sentence...any sentence...even if it is rubbish helps. It gets you going and, before you know it, you are correcting it and are off again. The hardest thing is getting up off the sofa in the first place, but as soon as I open my book document, I quickly get immersed in the story again.

Firstly you just have yourself to rely on to get the job done! Also it is a fantastic creative outlet and you can unleash your imagination. Another great thing is, if you are a relatively shy person, like myself, it is a great way to express yourself and have a voice...even if it is through your characters.

Think of an idea/story you can be passionate about. Something that you would like to read. Then break the story down in to segments as to where the story will go, building the excitement along the way. There is nothing worse than getting half way through a book and losing interest. Really think about the characters involved and their personality traits/ life so they really come alive on the page and the reader can feel their perspective.

The follow up to 'The Truth Healer'.

My mind is constantly working on stories and scenarios...like a mini movie whirling around in my head as I go about my day to day activities. My husband is continuously chastising me for daydreaming and not listening to him!!

From the News and my interest in the Spirit World. My reason being the News, is that I found it upsetting that so many police cases, especially missing people, remain unsolved. I always thought how amazing it would be to have the power of the Truth to help poor families have closure, and so 'The Truth Healer' was born. My protagonist, Chloe, is recruited into a Truth Circle whereby Truth Healers are given messages from the Spirit World, to help families find out the truth as to what happened to their loved ones.
