James Mascia I take it out back and shoot it in the head.

Actually, will do some reading, watch a movie, play a video game. Take my mind off it for a couple of hours. When I come back, I'm usually able to think again.
James Mascia I am finishing the final novel in my YA series, High School Heroes. I am also writing some sci-fi/space opera short stories called The Leviathan Chronicles.

Once I have completed High School Heroes, I am going to begin working on a new sci-fi novel... this one more for adults... set in the 1950s and using an unexplained phenomena called "Seneca Guns" as a central plot point in the story.
James Mascia I get ideas from everywhere. There is literally inspiration to find everywhere around you.

I am a teacher, and the idea for High School Heroes came from working in a high school. But then some of my ideas for my sci-fi adventures like City of Darkness and The Leviathan Chronicles, come from my own skewed view of the world. The point is, I watch, I listen, I form opinions. All of these things eventually come together into an idea for a story.

Anyone can find inspiration for their writing. All you have to do is look for it.
